Particulate filters

A particulate filter soot is only a temporary storage area. A soot filter can only function well if regeneration times occur as often as necessary. The soot filter fills up when the regeneration frequency is more distorted.

Inlet and/or oil filter replacement; Change inlet and/or air filter; Input and/or replace spark plugs; Check engine management; control supplement level, type and quality; oil control; Check the refrigerant consumption; Cylinder head gasket leak check; control the frequency and effectiveness of regeneration; control quality and (pre)catalyst capacity; check all sensors (lambda sensors); Check the EGR valve and system.

You should also test the following

injectors; pressure; Starter motor and battery pack; Emissions test.

Do not use a gasket in front of the soot filter. It is also recommended to change the oil when replacing a powerful particulate filter. Special low ash generation engine oil is recommended.

Only the soot filter can do its job properly if the minimum checklist fulfills all the conditions.
